| 2008 PLAYERS | 2008 CHEERLEADERS |

Coach Bill Nees
Bill Nees begins his 17th season as the head coach of the Piqua Indians football program after serving as an assistant to Steve Magoteaux for seven years. With Coach Nees at the helm, the Indians have a record of 135 wins and only 49 losses. In 2006 the Indians set the a school mark for most wins in a single season with 13 and captured the school's first state title in football. During his tenure as head coach the Indians have established itself as one of the premier programs in the Miami Valley and the state of Ohio.

Nees graduated from Baldwin Wallace College where he was a member of the team that won the Division Three National Championship in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl. Entering the 2006 season, Nees is only 51 wins away from tying legendary Piqua coach, George Wertz, for most wins all time with 165.

Coach Broering
Coach Broering begins his third season as the Indians' offensive coordinator. Coach Broering brings a wealth of experience as he was previously the head coach at Springfield South.

Coach Rick Krejci
Rick Krejci enters his 28th year as a member of the Piqua High School coaching staff. Rick graduated from Ohio Northern University and teaches physical education at Piqua Junior High School. Coach Krejci works with the inside linebackers, long snappers and wide receivers. Krejci is a fixture in the press box as he relays information to the coaches on the field.

Coach Rick Gold
Coach Gold will be in his 16th season as a member of the varsity coaching staff in 2006. Rick is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and also coaches Baseball. Coach Gold leads the defensive secondary and running backs. Gold provides a great deal of leadership as he has been around high school athletes for quite a few years.

Coach Troy Ouhl
Coach Ouhl is a former Piqua High School standout on the gridiron and enters his fourth season as a member of the varsity coaching staff. Troy is a graduate of the University of Dayton. Troy coaches the tight ends and also works with the outside linebackers. Troy provides some youth to the coaching staff and should be a fixture for many years to come.

Coach Eric Barge
Eric Barge came onto the scene in 2002 and is in charge of the offensive line and helps coach the Junior Varsity squad. Barge, a former Piqua player, is the youngest member of the coaching staff but still provides a great deal of football knowledge as well as getting film ready for the team to view.
